A focused workshop working from a seasonal still life — arranged and lit to help you simplify what you see and build confident structure and colour. Suitable for beginners and returning painters.Bring your own painting materials.

Small group teaching with individual guidance in a professional studio setting.
Painting & Drawing Studio SessionsSaturdays | 10:30 AM – 1:30 PMA small, guided group session held in James’s working studio at Cockington Court.
Each session combines practical guidance with time to develop your own work — from still life set-ups provided in the studio to independent projects you’d like to continue.The format allows for close individual feedback and discussion, helping you refine composition, colour, and technique at your own pace.Sessions run as flexible 6-week blocks or on a pay-as-you-go basis. You don’t have to attend consecutive blocks — just let James know at least a week in advance if you’ll miss a session so your place can be carried forward where possible.The option to have materials supplied is available at checkout.
